DALLAS - By day, he was a Hollywood hotshot, signing autographs and posing for pictures. At night, he became a rock star, fronting 100 Monkeys for a series of sold-out shows featuring catchy music, shrieking fans and a giant dancing banana.

If there were a king of TwiCon, it would be Jackson Rathbone. In between events, we caught up with the fan favorite to discuss Twilighter Nation, trying to kill Kristen Stewart and why destroying a baby grand piano hurt so good.

MTV: Jackson, we just saw you downstairs signing autographs for a huge line of fans. Any idea how many times you've signed your name today?

Jackson Rathbone: Wow, I don't know. My hand is kind of cramped, so it's probably a few. But it's great, everybody's so sweet, and it's nice to get to see them one-on-one. You get that chance to connect with the fans. It's so sweet.

Stephenie Meyer's four-book Twilight series has sunk its fangs into USA TODAY's Best-Selling Books list - with no signs of letting go. Meyer's domination of the list for the past 12 months has smashed records that until now had belonged to J.K. Rowling.

Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in the teen-vampire romance series, entered the list at No. 1 on Aug. 2, 2008. Its sales and those of Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse, the first three books, have remained staggering.

This week, Meyer's novels are Nos. 4, 5, 6 and 7 on USA TODAY's list.

Rowling, overall, has sold more books than Meyer - her seven-book series about boy wizard Harry Potter has 143 million copies in print in the USA, while Meyer has sold 40 million copies of her four books. But Rowling can't match Meyer's control of the list.

Breaking Dawn and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the two authors' fourth installments, entered the list at No. 1, but Meyer's series has had more staying power.

Keeping a very tight schedule, the stars of “Eclipse,” the third installment of the “Twilight” films, arrived in Vancouver, British Columbia last night (August 3).

Vampire veterans Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, and Nikki Reed all looked excited to be gearing up for their third go-round with the immensely popular movie series.

And newcomers Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel also appeared enthusiastic about their new gig with a sure-to-be successful film.

“Eclipse” is already scheduled to hit theaters June 30th, 2010 but first we all get to sink our teeth into “New Moon,” due out November 20th.

Spoiler Alert! If you haven't read the fourth "Twilight" book -- and plan to -- this story is going to ruin your life forever. You sure wanna go on? Here we go...

Turns out Stephenie Meyer, the woman behind the Twilight series, isn't the only person to write about sexy vampires -- 'cause she's being accused of ripping off the storyline for her fourth ultra-successful book by a less famous, less rich author.

A woman named Jordan Scott fired off a cease and desist letter to the publisher of "Breaking Dawn" -- the fourth book in the series -- claiming the Twilight tale contains a "striking and substantial similarity" to Scott's book, "The Nocturne."

In her extremely detailed letter, Scott claims her book was published in 2006 -- two years before "Breaking Dawn" -- and it's no coincidence that many of the scenes are almost identical. Such as...

-- Both books contain a post-wedding sex scene
-- Both books contain a scene about a woman who's sick because she's carrying a child with "evil powers"
-- Both books contain a scene with the death of the main character's wife

And according to Scott, the dialogue in all of these scenes -- and more -- is extremely similar.

But Meyer's rep is calling BS -- telling TMZ, "The claim that 'Breaking Dawn' by Stephenie Meyer somehow infringes on an alleged book by someone named Jordan Scott is completely without merit. Neither Stephenie Meyer nor her representatives had any knowledge of this writer
or her supposed book prior to this claim."

'Twilight' filmmaker also discusses Dakota Fanning's 'genuinely scary' performance, possible Stephenie Meyer cameo.

SAN DIEGO - Chris Weitz made big news when he stepped in for Catherine Hardwicke as director on the second "Twilight" film. Over the months, and recently at Comic-Con, the fans have come to embrace him with as much affection as they did his predecessor.

As Weitz gets back to work editing November's "New Moon," we caught up with him to discuss such key fan issues as a Stephenie Meyer cameo, Dakota Fanning's evil ways and Taylor Lautner's abs.

MTV: Chris, "New Moon" has a lot of disparate elements. You need to portray a love that's Shakespearean, like "Romeo and Juliet," but at the same time do action scenes and car chases, and at the same time do effects work with werewolves and vampires. Which is the hardest, and how are you dealing with it?

Chris Weitz: The hardest thing to do is to blend all these elements into one thing that seems like a coherent whole. We [need to make sure we] don't just stop for the action sequence or stop and have the audience say, "Oh, what a great special effect!" You want it to be a complete, seamless experience in which the emotions of the characters are what's foremost. The hardest thing, but also the most enjoyable thing, is working with actors. You can control everything else, except the weather - what really matters is the characters and the feelings that they evoke in the readers of the book. It's the hardest stuff, but it's also the stuff that makes it the most satisfying when you get it right.

Before Rachelle Lefevre and the rest of the world discovered that she would no longer be part of the 'Eclipse' cast, she did an interview with Lizerne Guiting at Fandango regarding 'New Moon' and also a little bit about going back to work on 'Eclipse':

Q. Do you know what you're doing after New Moon?
Lefevre: No, I have a couple of things in the mix right now, but it looks like I'm gonna get to do something in between this and Eclipse, but it's a scheduling thing. Nothing is confirmed yet 'cause you gotta be available for the third movie.

Q. Have you already thought about your scenes in Eclipse?
Lefevre: Yeah, I've started to go back to "Eclipse" (the book) now, but I'm trying to just go all the way through New Moon without getting too much ahead of myself. I have three days (of filming) left, then it's back to "Eclipse."

Q. Do you think you're still going to lose your head?
Lefevre: Yeah, well, I sort of feel like you can't really change that. [Laughs] You know what's great, when we see fans a lot of the time, they have me sign certain pages. I cannot tell you how many times I've signed the page where I lose my head. [Laughs] I'm like, "Really? This is the page you want me to sign?" It's either that or the scene where we get introduced for the first time. So I'm always signing copies of "Twilight" or "Eclipse." There was a time when I knew the page numbers.

"Are you the wolf girl?" This is the question Bella poses to Emily in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and RadarOnline.com reporter Alexis Tereszcuk sat down with Tinsel Korey for lunch at (where else?) Moonshadows in Malibu, CA to find out more about the actress and what the wolf pack guys are really like on set.

Known for the horrific scar on her face, Tinsel revealed that the application took hours and that it was a painful process to go through. She also said that Kristen Stewart wasn't acting, and that she was really taken aback by the scar the first time she saw her disfigured face.

The fiance of Sam, one of the werewolves, wants her fans to know that she "has a really dry sense of humor," and she joked about a long grueling day on the set with Taylor Lautner - "Working with half naked guys, it was tough." Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Tinsel will hit the big screen again when New Moon is released in theaters on November 20.

Chris Weitz gave this following statement to MTV News:

"I would like to put everyone's mind at rest and let them know that the Volturi are not naked!" Weitz said in an e-mail statement to MTV News. "Jamie has what you might call a dry sense of humor and almost managed to convince me - which is why he's such a good actor. Anyway, be assured that, even though we do want the look of the Volturi to be a bit of a surprise, they are always - as in the book! - fully clothed."

The "Teen Choice 2009" is rapidly approaching and the wildly popular cast of 'Twilight' will appear on the two-hour special, ET confirms.

'Twilight' actors Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed and Kellan Lutz are all set to attend the Fox awards show, hosted by the Jonas Brothers. The cast of Fox's new comedy "Glee" will also be appearing on the show.

Other big names to show up on August 10 include: Megan Fox, David Beckham, Chace Crawford, Vanessa Hudgens, Kim Kardashian and Zac Efron. Teen sensation Miley Cyrus will perform her newest single, "Party in the U.S.A."

The "Teen Choice 2009" will air on Fox Monday, August 10.

AB: What was your favorite part of Eclipse?

PF: I actually like that, in the book, a lot of the family members are talked about, and in the movie they’re in it a lot more. The books are all told from Bella’s perspective, so a lot of times, when she’s not in the scene and things are happening, you don’t actually get to see them, like the battle scene, for instance. In Eclipse when the whole family and the werewolves are fighting the newborn vampires, it’s talked about and through Edward you kind of get something, but in the movie you actually get to see it, you know, so I like that in the interpretations of the movies, it’s not always about Bella’s perspective. She isn’t always in the scene, and so that opens up the story a little bit. The Cullens are in it a lot more throughout.

AB: So, in that case are you doing stunt work?

PF: Yeah, we’re going up there and we’re going to have fight training. I’m excited about that. I mean, I’m a guy, so I like the action stuff, and I’m excited because it’s fun for me to have Carlisle be part of the action stuff – get in there and roll up his sleeves. For an actor, it’s fun, but for playing the character too there’s a whole other side.
