Los Angeles 'Eclipse' Premiere

He tilted his head to one side, and his eyes were curious. "I dazzle people?"
"You haven't noticed? Do you think everybody gets their way so easily?"
He ignored my questions. "Do i dazzle you?"
"Frequently," I admitted.

'Suburban Decay' didn't make it onto his album, but Lambert thinks it would fit the 'Twilight' sequel.
Adam Lambert's "Time for Miracles" has already been featured on the soundtrack for "2012." But the "American Idol" runner-up is already thinking about having a song accompany another potential blockbuster: "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse." Lambert thinks "Suburban Decay," a track produced by Rob Cavallo that didn't make it onto For Your Entertainment, should find a new home on the June 2010 movie's soundtrack. "It's a great song and I hope to perform it someday, and I think it will find a home, on a soundtrack or something ... maybe 'Twilight,' " he told MTV News. "It just didn't quite fit [in my album]. It's very theatrical. ... It's very campy, and it was just a bit too campy for the album as a big picture." Although the vibe was all wrong for his album, it might be perfect to score the intensifying love triangle between Bella, Jacob and Edward. "Hey, 'Eclipse' ... Want my song? It's kind of about vampires," he offered, noting a verse about "bloodlust." "Voodoo" is another song that fans heard about earlier this year but didn't make the cut for Lambert's major-label debut. "Again because we only had so many tracks — that's one I do wish we got on the album," he said. "But I didn't want to get rid of any of the other ones. I believe in all the songs. It's real sexy, kind of vibey dark disco ... more industrial." Credit: MTV

'New Moon' star also contemplates a fight with Taylor Lautner and separating on- and offscreen romance. As we enter December, "New Moon" is still riding high at the box office. And although it's a few weeks until Christmas, that doesn't mean "Twilight" fans aren't already dreaming of finding RPattz under their tree. Well, we're always willing to start the party a bit early. Today, we present the final installment of an MTV Radio interview with Robert Pattinson, following up on his thoughts about romance and Taylor Lautner's transformation. Read on for candy-cane-flavored as Spunk Ransom talks fame, fighting Lautner and the danger of romancing a leading lady. MTV: How are you dealing with the franchise's explosion into a full-blown phenomenon? Robert Pattinson: I guess it's inevitable that you become more comfortable. You still fight against some things, but there's nothing really scary about it. I like all the people I work with. I generally have very few disagreements about the script or anything when we're doing it, especially on "New Moon." It just seemed so relaxed and easy. I mean, I've been on three different sets since January 14th. I've had, like, three days off. [So when people ask me,] "Has your life changed?" I don't know. I'm still on set. I'm going to be on set all next year as well. As for [running] errands and things, I don't know what that really is like, because I haven't had a sustained period of time where I've been off. ... I still feel like I'm pretty much exactly the same, which is maybe not a good thing. Credit: MTV Read more

So what does it take to get the stars from "Twilight," "High School Musical," and "Gossip Girl" (just to name a few) to join up on the screen? A really worthy cause. Hollywood's youngest heavy hitters, including "GG" stars Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr, as well as Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz, recently got together for "Coming Together as ONE," a public service announcement sponsored by the advocacy group ONE, to flight global poverty and preventable disease — specifically in Africa. The goal of the campaign is to recruit more young people in the battle against poverty. "In the last election, and over the course of history, young people have shown that when we get organized and committed, we are powerful. The fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease in poor countries needs our support, our energy and our commitment," Ashley told ONE. Directed by Jesse Dylan (he's the same guy who won an Emmy for Barack Obama's "Yes We Can" campaign video), the PSA will air on The CW on Wednesday night. Although, if you want to get a sneak peak, you can check out the video (it launched on the eve of World Aids Day) on ONE's Web site now. The 60-second clip also features "Heroes" actress Hayden Panettiere, "New Moon" vamps Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone, "90210" co-ed Tristan Wilds, "High School Musical" actor Corbin Bleu, John Cho and Brandon T. Jackson. Credit: MTV

| 30 Nov 2009 | Robert Pattinson Calls Taylor Lautner's Transformation 'Strange' |
| Press Room Category: Robert Pattinson, New Moon Movie, Articles, Taylor Lautner |
With "New Moon" still riding high at the box office and poised to become one of the highest-grossing films of the year — if not all time — the world can't seem to get enough of Robert Pattinson. It's a good thing, then, that our pals over at MTV Radio recently spoke with the "Twilight" heartthrob.Last week, we brought you RPattz's thoughts on romances, both onscreen and off. Now, as those Thanksgiving leftovers wear thin, we're happy to dish out part two of that interview, featuring some yummy tidbits on Rob's 90-year-old fans, jealousy over Taylor's bod, and his New Year's resolution to be less self-deprecating. MTV: Taylor Lautner's transformation between the movies is now the stuff of legend. Tell us about the first time you saw him and what you thought. Robert Pattinson: I didn't see Taylor until just a little bit before we started shooting ["New Moon"]. When he came back, I had the same reaction as everybody else. I was like, "Jeez, now I have to go to the gym!" But yeah, it was strange. This one was weird, because I hardly did any scenes with Taylor. We did the scenes at the beginning and scenes at the end [together], and he had his entire story line develop without me being around, which is interesting, because I had no idea where his performance was going. So it wasn't really a competition or anything; it was all independent. Whereas in "Eclipse," we're doing scenes together all the time with Bella. Credit: MTV Read more

| 30 Nov 2009 | Taylor Lautner's Hosting 'SNL' Soon, So We've Come Up With A Few Perfect Sketch Ideas |
| Press Room Category: Articles, Taylor Lautner |
In case you were knee-deep in Stove Top stuffing and green bean casserole last week and missed the news, "New Moon" hottie Taylor Lautner will be hosting "Saturday Night Live" December 12 with musical guest Bon Jovi. Though we, along with many Twilighters, had been campaigning for Robert Pattinson to secure hosting duties, we couldn't be more excited for the 17-year-old to grace the Studio 8H stage. In fact, we've even dreamed up a few sketch ideas for the star. "SNL" scribes, we hope you're listening!1. The inevitable "Twilight" parody We know it's going to happen, the only question is how will it? Though several humorous scenarios ran through our minds (Taylor as vampire!), the one that tickled our funny bones the most was seeing Taylor cast as Bella Swan (just like his maybe girlfriend Taylor Swift was when she hosted!). I mean, come on, he already has the wig for it! With Andy Samberg as Edward Cullen, any moment from either the first or second film would be hilarious, but we're hoping for the Volterra scene from "New Moon." Taylor splashing through a fountain and running into the arms of Andy would be epic. Credit: MTV Read more

Nothing could stop The Twilight Saga: New Moon over the Thanksgiving weekend.
The sequel to the teen-skewed vampire hit remained on top of the domestic box-office charts for the second consecutive weekend, boosting its total take to an estimated $230.7 million. Over the traditional three-day weekend, New Moon, from Summit Entertainment, raked in another $42.5 million, more than any other film now playing. Its five-day take, which included Thanksgiving Day, was $66 million. New Moon also crossed the $200 million mark Friday, after just eight days in release, exceeding the total gross of the original Twilight ($192.8 million). New Moon experienced a 70% drop in ticket receipts from its $142.8 million opening the previous weekend, which was the third-biggest in movie history. But the film still pulled in $10,515 average per screen. The week's other contenders never really had a chance. Sandra Bullock's The Blind Side scored an upset victory on Thanksgiving Day, earning an estimated $9.5 million to New Moon's $9.2 million. But on Friday Moon regained the No. 1 spot with an estimated $17.9 million to $16.2 million for Blind Side, which is distributed by Warner Bros. Credit: USA Today

| Press Room Category: New Moon Movie, Articles |

TIME has posted an article that talks about how the Twilight Saga came to be and where it is today:
![]() But when it came time to film the sequel, Hardwicke balked. Summit was pushing hard to get the new movie done fast, to keep up the momentum, and she was burned out. Enter Chris Weitz, who was not, by his own admission, the obvious choice. "There was a reasonable amount of skepticism when I took over the second movie," he says. "I understand that. I directed American Pie. I would be worried too." But after a 2½-hour phone conversation with Meyer — a fan of Weitz's About a Boy — she gave him her blessing.

| 28 Nov 2009 | No Such Thing As Small Roles For Canadian Actors In 'Twilight' Franchise |
| Press Room Category: New Moon Movie, Articles, Cast, Interview |
TORONTO — The Canadian actors in "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" are learning there's no such thing as a small role in the mega-popular movie franchise. As with nearly everything connected to the blockbuster film and book series, fan reaction - even to bit players - has been surprisingly fervid, says the B.C.-born Cameron Bright. The 16-year-old appears only briefly towards the end of "New Moon" as the Volturi vampire Alec but says he was swarmed by fans seeking his autograph when he attended the L.A. premiere last week. "It's crazy, I'm only in it for like a minute and a half or two minutes but I'm world renowned now," says Bright, dressed casually in a black shirt and bright yellow and black sneakers during a recent stop in Toronto to promote the film. Before the L.A. screening, he says he and U.S. actor Kiowa Gordon, who plays the werewolf Embry, went to greet some of the devotees, many of whom had lined up days in advance for a chance to meet the stars. "We signed some autographs at the beginning and the middle of the line and it was crazy. It was like the whole road was a ball of people around me and Kiowa," Bright recalls.
