Entertainment Weekly had a brief interview with Ashley. Here is a snippet below:

What was your most memorable fan encounter?

I’ve had a couple people make me scrapbooks, and that’s kind of an incredible thing because I’m in a midst of this whirlwind right now so there are a lot of things that I miss because we’re in this Twilight bubble and it’s just go go go. So probably a year after this is all done, we can sit back and look at the scope of it. So it’s nice for them to put a collection of my career and what I’ve been going through together. That’s really special.

Why do you think fans are so obsessed?

I think with vampires, you can’t really go wrong. For generations, vampires have been a hit because they’re unobtainable, mysterious, sensual, dangerous, kind of sexy. Then Stephanie Meyer added a Romeo-and-Juliet love story to this fantasy world. Edward happens to be a vampire but he’s very much that gentleman who opens doors and says everything a girl wants to hear and he’s basically the epitome of perfection. And then you have Bella, this normal, everyday girl, which a lot of us are, and she steals this vampire’s heart. So everyone wants their Edward and everyone wants to be Bella.

'Twilight' Stars Weigh In On What They Want For 'Breaking Dawn'

With the box-office success of "New Moon" and fans eagerly anticipating the June release of "Eclipse," it looks almost certain that "Breaking Dawn," the final book in the "Twilight Saga," will hit the big screen. But there are two big questions surrounding the potential film: Who will direct it, and will it be split into two movies?

MTV News spoke with the "Twilight" stars last week at a New York screening of "New Moon" and asked them to weigh in on the saga's future.

"If I had a wish list, Gus van Sant would be pretty cool," Peter Facinelli said, mirroring Robert Pattinson's director pick. "I just think he'd be an interesting choice for it. I mean, 'Milk' was phenomenal. I would just love to see 'Breaking Dawn' done, because I'd like to finish the whole chapter."

Ashley Greene said she wouldn't turn down the chance to split up "Breaking Dawn," if that's what the studio decides. "I think we all love being a part of this," she said. "And if making this into two films means we capture the essence of the fourth book better, then absolutely."

Should Tim Burton Direct 'Breaking Dawn'? Burton, Ashley Greene Weigh In

Greene says the director would put 'an amazing spin' on the final 'Twilight' book.

In 2007, Jamie Campbell Bower co-starred in Tim Burton's "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street." A few years later, after being cast as a vampire in "New Moon," the young British actor has not forgotten the director who gave him his big break, telling MTV News that Burton would be the ideal man to helm the final "Twilight" installment, "Breaking Dawn."

What does Burton think about that idea? When we caught up with the director at the opening of a retrospective of his work at New York's Museum of Modern Art, he was flattered.

"He's being biased, because I worked with him on 'Sweeney Todd,' " Burton laughed. "But that's nice to hear. In case potential jobs run out, it'd be nice to know someone."

Also on hand for the festivities was "Twilight" franchise star Ashley Greene, who thought Burton would be an excellent fit for "Breaking Dawn," following the work of Catherine Hardwicke, Chris Weitz and David Slade.

"I think that would actually be a really great choice," she said when asked about Bower's directorial suggestion. "It would be completely different. But if you look at what we've done from 'Twilight' to 'New Moon' to 'Eclipse' director-wise, they're all completely different, because the tones are different. The fourth one's a little odd, a little weird, and I definitely think that Tim Burton would put an amazing spin on it."

What would that spin be? "You never really know what to expect," Greene said. "You never know what you're going to get, and I think, artistically, he's just brilliant."

'New Moon' Premiere Is All About 'Passionate' Fans, Stars Say

'We all know the premiere for 'Twilight' was insane, but this is multiplied by 10,' Taylor Lautner marvels on L.A. red carpet.

LOS ANGELES — A year ago at this time, people were finally comprehending the scope of "Twilight" mania. Rob and Kristen were treated like rock stars, thousands of fans were eager to share their "little secret" with the world, and a tiny Taylor Lautner enthusiastically posed with fans, simply hoping they'd want him back for more.

On Monday evening (November 16), "New Moon" mania took over at the film's red-carpet premiere. And like Taylor's presence in the sequel, it's bigger, better and far more muscular.

"It's amazing," marveled the 17-year-old Lautner, who was famously nearly replaced as Jacob Black last winter but packed on 30 pounds of muscle to keep the role. "We all know the premiere for 'Twilight' was insane, but this is multiplied by 10. I did not expect this at all!"

With thousands of Twilighters — many of whom began lining up last week — packing the sidewalks, the shrieks roared like airplanes buzzing the Los Angeles neighborhood of Westwood. Everyone from 50 Cent to Kevin Smith to Death Cab for Cutie and Emma Roberts came out to get an early glimpse at one of the year's most anticipated films. Also crowding the carpet was an epic cast now containing several dozen regulars when you factor in all the Cullens, Volturi, wolf pack, humans and other factions. But in the eyes of Kristen Stewart, the evening was really a celebration of the actor fans affectionately call "Taycob."

Kellan Lutz Says Robert Pattinson Is 'Still Just As Awkward' After 'Twilight'

'New Moon' vampire says fame and success hasn't changed his castmates at all.

What happens when you go from struggling actor to global superstar? Does the attention, adulation and money change you after a star turn in a $380 million worldwide box-office smash like "Twilight"? Not if you're Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart or Taylor Lautner, according to co-star Kellan Lutz.

"Rob is still just as awkward!" Lutz told MTV News at the Chicago stop of the "New Moon" Hot Topic promo tour. "He's such a shy guy. He has a lot of weight on his shoulders, a lot of responsibility as the actor to carry these films, and he's still the same goofy Rob.

"It's really cool to be a part of a project where everyone's still the same," continued Lutz, who plays vampire Emmett Cullen. "I think that maybe Rob or Kristen, or especially Taylor — he's kind of younger and this is so huge to be thrown into the limelight — but everyone is still the same person. It's really cool to be part of such a strong, down-to-earth group of actors who are talented and humble and thankful."

Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz Field Marriage Proposals On 'New Moon' Tour

'There's people that have been standing outside for hours, and they still come in crying and jumping with energy,' Greene says at Illinois stop.

More than a thousand Twilighters — mostly those who needed a lift from their parents — camped out at an Aurora, Illinois, mall on Halloween for a chance to see their vampire heroes in the flesh. On Tuesday, the lucky ones who nabbed wristbands got their chance when stars Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz jetted into town for one of the "New Moon" mall tour stops.

Autographs were signed, photos were taken, screams were heard and wacky questions were asked, including a few marriage proposals.

"Yeah, a couple of those," Lutz admitted in an interview with MTV News during some downtime at the mall's Hot Topic store. "They all had boyfriends, so I'm like, 'How can you ask me that when you're taken?' "

"I got proposed to through someone's wife," Greene laughed. "I was like, 'Wait, what? Really?' She's like, 'Yeah, you can have him!' I was like, 'Oh, OK, great.' But regardless, it was nice to get proposed to."
