Robert Pattinson And Ashley Greene Will Attend 2010 Teen Choice Awards

Looks like the Teen Choice Awards' strategy is paying off this year: nominate as many people as possible, that way you'll get more celebs to attend your show. (Seriously, you guys, have you SEEN the nominees list? It's like a novel.) Just confirmed to appear on the show (airing August 9), according to Gossip Cop: Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene (Twi-hards unite!), Sandra Bullock (who doesn't love the lady?), and "Gossip Girl" Leighton Meester.

Not that these recent confirmations are surprising in any way (what would a teen-centric award show be without R-Pattz?), but we're wondering why the attendee list is so slow to trickle out! Already set to attend are Zac Efron (he's got "Charlie St. Cloud" to promote, after all), Victoria Justice, Miranda Cosgrove, David Archuleta, and the Kardashian sisters (Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney for sure, no word on the younger ladies).

We're still looking to see some "Harry Potter" stars, more musically inclined people besides Archie (J-Biebs, where you at?), and a bunch more TV stars to attend. Helloooooo, "Vampire Diaries" cast. And some Gleeks would be nice. Just saying.

Robert Pattinson Says 'Eclipse' Is 'Different,' More 'Serious'

'They're not, like, fantasy things. It's like a horror film!' RPattz teases of fight scenes.

Many "Twilight" fans are expecting a darker film with more action, but plenty of romance between Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and her various supernatural suitors when "Eclipse" hits theaters on June 30. But "Twilight" enthusiasts who haven't braced themselves for a different experience should consider themselves warned: Leading man Robert Pattinson revealed to MTV News that the threequel absolutely takes a more serious tone.

"I've seen a very early cut," Pattinson said at the . "It's good. It's different. It's really different, like, it's kind of serious."

Pattinson clarified that in the case of "Eclipse," the words "different" and "serious" are good things, especially when it comes to the action sequences. "All the kinds of fight scenes that are in 'New Moon,' they're, like, real fights now [in 'Eclipse']," he said. "They're not, like, fantasy things. It's like a horror film!"

The horror label should come as no surprise considering that "30 Days of Night" director David Slade is responsible for "Eclipse." And not to mention the fact that Peter Facinelli previously revealed that fans will see the "true vampire-ness" of his Carlisle Cullen and the rest of his fanged family, including the "dark, dangerous side" of Alice (Ashley Greene), as well as "a darker side" of Jasper (Jackson Rathbone). Another big tipoff to the film's pitch can be found in the "Eclipse" footage we've already seen, like the action-packed teaser that premiered during the 2010 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.

Having earned a PG-13 rating for "intense sequences of action and violence," there's no question that "Eclipse" will differ from previous "Twilight Saga" installments. The only question is, do you trust Pattinson's declaration that "different" is a good thing?

'I just have to keep working to not explode,' he tells MTV News of the wild ride.

UNIVERSAL CITY, California — A long time ago, in a faraway land (OK, maybe it was just Portland), the stars of the "Twilight" series were nobodies. Hopes weren't terribly high when that girl from "The Messengers," Mike Dexter from "Can't Hardly Wait" and the kid who died in the "Harry Potter" movies came together to shoot Stephenie Meyer's first novel.

But as the "Saga" stars dominated another MTV awards show this weekend, Robert Pattinson couldn't help but marvel at how far they've come.

"It's crazy," the spiky-haired superstar marveled at the MTV Movie Awards, looking back on simpler times. "For it to have accelerated so quickly."

At the 2008 Movie Awards, the first "Twilight" film was barely approaching the end of production when some last-minute scrambling had Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart walking the red carpet ... so unnoticed that they had to go back and start again because no one was stopping them for questions. Well, except us.

"I should have done a more coherent speech for the Global thing," RPattz said of his Global Superstar win, appreciating the massive audience all over the world that has tuned in over the past few years to hang on his every word (that is, when he's not being cut off by the host). "It's just so ridiculous."

The 2009 Movie Awards were the culmination of the chaos, as KStew and RPattz's initial wave of fame swept over Universal City. This time, the stars were accompanied by Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Taylor Lautner and Peter Facinelli — many of whom weren't even invited the previous year. By the end of the night, they were the new kings and queens of the show.

"I still don't have any idea what's going on," Rob admitted to us backstage this year. "I just have to keep working to not explode.

"I'm incredibly appreciative of every little piece that's come together," he concluded, flashing that same charming, uneasy grin that he's brought with him to Universal City for the past three years, "so I can be living this ridiculous life."
