2010 Teen Choice Awards Winners

The winners for the 2010 Teen Choice Awards, which aired yesterday at 8 p.m. on Fox with hosts Katy Perry and the male stars of Glee, were announced yesterday by the network, after the ceremony was taped at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles. In total, 105 award winners were announced, spanning five major categories from movies and television to music and fashion. Vampires dominated the awards, as the Twilight movies (both New Moon and Eclipse) racked up 12 surf-board shaped trophies, while TV drama The Vampire Dairies took home seven. Twilight‘s Robert Pattison, country music sensation Taylor Swift, and pint-sized pop star Justin Bieber each took home four awards. The winners were chosen through more than 85 million votes cast online.

Kristen Stewart Not Attending 2010 Teen Choice Awards

There has been much speculation about whether Kristen Stewart will be joining Robert Pattinson at Fox’s Teen Choice Awards on August 9, which is being co-hosted by Katy Perry and the “Glee” guys.

Gossip Cop inquired, and we finally have the answer…

Stewart will NOT be at the Teen Choices Awards.

A rep for the actress says, “She is away shooting On The Road.”

As most of you already know, Taylor was on the cover of GQ for the month of July. Here are some of the photos posted on GQ and a snippet of the article:

It is March 27, and I am inching down the red carpet at Nickelodeon's annual Kids' Choice Awards—embedded with Taylor Lautner, Twilight's boy werewolf, now reportedly the highest-paid teenage actor in Hollywood. He's one of the highest-paid actors period, having just signed a $7.5 million deal to play Stretch Armstrong in a big-screen take on a toy no one has seen in thirty years. Lautner's regular security guard, a professional badass, notices me flinching at the shrieking. He smiles: "On the New Moon tour, I took Advil. Preventively."

Lautner—dressed in a wool blazer over a white V-neck T-shirt (both gifts from the designer Neil Barrett), his dark hair shellacked into a skyward-pointing spear—seems unfazed. Is it always like this? I ask. So he tells me about Brazil. How he and his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart were trapped in a hotel suite when hundreds of teenage fans stormed the lobby, outwitted security, and charged the stairs to get to them. "We were in lockdown in this little room for forty-five minutes waiting for the SWAT team to arrive," Lautner says, his eyes wide. "We said to each other, 'Let's say they get into this room. What are they going to do? Tear us to shreds? What do they want?' "

In her now-immortal novel Twilight, Stephenie Meyer describes Alice Cullen, sister of tween dream Edward, as a “devastatingly, inhumanly beautiful” pixie vampire with “obsidian eyes” and an “exquisite, elfin face.” Most actors would rather not admit that casting decisions were based on anything other than their craft, but 23-year-old Ashley Greene—who brought Alice to life in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and this summer’s Eclipse and is signed on for next year’s Breaking Dawn—has no such illusions. “Yes, I’m very thankful that Stephenie Meyer wrote a character that I happen to look like,” says Greene with a laugh. Given the series’ rabid “Twihard” fan base—legions of whom were locked in long before the film’s first scene was shot—if Greene hadn’t been an eerily perfect fit for Alice, the filmmakers would have heard about it. “The fans were already there,” Greene says. “Before they knew Ashley Greene, they knew Alice Cullen, and they all had an idea of how she looked.”
